About Us
The Theocharides clinical laboratory began its operation in December 1979 under the difficult conditions which were imposed by the invasion in 1974. Nikos Theocharides, the founder of the laboratory, with just one employee and very limited means at the time could not envision how rapidly the laboratory would develop and the form that it would take.
- In 1983 it became a registered company under the department of the registrar of companies as clinical laboratory N. Theocharides.
- In 1986 computers and the automatic analysts of the second generation were imported.
- In 1992 a new season begins with the import of automatic analysts of the third generation.
- In 2003 the Theocharides laboratory is upgraded by the introduction of a second laboratory, Theocharides 2, with Mr Theocharides Constandinos as a director.
One of the clinical laboratory’s main targets was its accreditation with the European and International model for quality, ISO 15189 [2012], which was accomplished in April 2010 (Reg.No Lo 21).

External controls
- With the aim of maintaining a high level of service our laboratories are voluntarily exposed to external controls. The external controls purpose is the ascertainment of levels of quality but also the introduction of measures that would ensure the continuous improvement of such high levels. These controls exist in all the sectors of operation of our laboratories but mainly focus in the sectors of biochemistry, immunology, hematology, etc.
- For many years now our laboratories have participated with success in the program of the evaluation of quality EQAS (External Quality Assurance Services). The last cycle covered the period from July 2014 to July 2015.We have been in operation now for over 35 years and we believe that this alone proves how committed our customers are to us due to the high levels of service and quality that we offer to them and that we strive to maintain.
- More than 1000 tests are carried out at Nikos Theocharides laboratories in various branches of biomedical science, biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology, parasitology, virology as well as water analysis. Analysis that cannot be carried out at our laboratories are sent to accredited laboratories in Germany with which we collaborate with.

The equipment used at both of the laboratories is modern and can be characterized as state of art. The equipment and the machines used are all renowned brands from multinational companies such as: ROCHE, HITACHI, DBC, SYSMEX.
